Here’s Kathy and Roger’s "Events of 1999 Web Page"

It was a very busy year, but we did take time for one short vacation in late July-early August. We visited my best buddy from high school, Cliff, who has a five-acre horse ranchette near Parker, CO. Click here for Cliff's personal homepage.

The first picture is of Kathy and me on an overlook near Parker. The weather was unfortunately very cloudy, but you can still make out the Front Range of the Rockies in the background. The second pic is Cliff and his horse on his ranch in the beautiful rolling hills of the Colorado High Plains. Take a look at Cliff's previous modes of transportation => Cliff's vehicles

Western Nebraska had better weather, and we were surprised by the interesting terrain, especially near Scottsbluff.

The Bridges of Madison County

We stopped in Madison county, IA to the see the covered bridges which gave title to a well-known movie of 1993.

Sam I Am

This young ol' puss, whom we named "Sam I Am", joined the family this summer.

The Happy Bride and Groom

The social event of the year was the wedding of Kathy's nephew, Chris Risner, to Tara Taylor on August 15 in Los Angeles, CA. A good time was had by all, as evidenced by the pictures on this page =>: The Wedding!

We had a scare in September when Roger's brother Bob had a mild heart attack. It's truly a blessing to have him with us still! That's Bob's wife, Carolyn, next to him. Tempus fugit!

The Lee family

Everyone who knew her was saddened by the death of Kathy's sister, Betty, after a long battle with colon cancer. Please remember husband Doyle, daughter Julie, sons Scott and Steve, daughter-in-law Geri, and grandchildren (Amber, Ryan, Eric, Matt and Emma) in your prayers.

Anyway, have a Merry and Blessed Christmas season and be sure to e-mail with your news updates at risnerolson1@msn.com
