| The annual Independence Day get-together at Curt and Sandy Joiner's was a blast as usual. We really missed Brooke, Michelle, Peggy, and Tyler, among others this year. |

| Del and Rita Watson invited the family over for a get-together, ostensibly in honor of the Franzens being back in the States from their mission work in Albania. It was a good time of fellowship and the general kind of yacking that a gathering of the extended Risner clan yields. Thanks Rita and Del! |
| Our friends Micki and Paul Nickla were married on July 29 at a lovely venue on Lakes of the Four Seasons. |

Kathy, the Corys, and the Hamachers celebrated the arrival of
Magnolia
to the earthly plane on October 22.

The Risner Thanksgiving get-together extended over two days. On Thursday the big family
dinner was held at the parish hall of
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kouts. Then on Friday several
families went down to Bill and Cris's in Rensslaer. Here are 180 pictures! |

As a particularly memorable way to celebrate Janet's imminent 50th birthday (April 9, 2008), the Hamachers took
a family vacation to South Padre Island, TX from December 15-22. Here's a family portrait on the beach. We have several pages of Christmas activities. On Sunday December 23 we attended the Payne's annual Christmas bash at Tom and Jackie's. This photo album also contains pictures of our gift exchange with the Hambys when they stopped by our place on their way from O'Hare airport on the trip back home to Mishawaka. We spent Christmas Eve and morning with the Hambys. Here are a few pictures from this time. Roger's kids made their annual Christmastime visit to Kouts, and here are some pictures. We had a nice visit Katie and her fiance David Wright December 29-31. Here are the pics. |
