June 26, 2002: Well, I'm back in Indiana after a wonderful four days. The reunion was an immense success! We had 22 classmates at the picnic on Saturday, and (I think) 19 at the Friday get-together. Everyone who came on Friday also attended the Saturday event. Everyone was friendly, happy, and... older (except Tinker who's still 29...) A HUGE thank-you goes out to Ray and Penny for so graciously opening their home on Saturday! They did a tremendous amount of work setting up, arranging for the food, and cleaning up. A big part of the success of the reunion was the hospitality of the Harringtons. Here's the first set of pictures. Click here for the pictures from the Friday evening get-together at Cathedral Farms. Please ignore the big pot-bellied fella with the gray goatee -- he got into many of the pictures somehow. We don't know who he is! hehehe... June 27: Here's the set of pictures taken at the MCS tour on Saturday morning. June 28: Here's the big set of pictures from the picnic at the Harrington's. Please note: I've had several requests already to identify the people in the pictures. In the near future I'll put short captions on a few of the pictures in the photo albums. You should be able to figure out the classmates from the key I provided on the group picture above, but of course if you weren't there you most likely wouldn't know the kids and spouses. July 14: Do all of y'all remember Saint Mary's Falls? Here's some pictures of Roger, Cliff and his kids having a little refreshing break the day after the reunion picnic. I've started to update classmates' pages with pictures taken at the reunion. I'm starting with the ones that didn't have a recent picture already. So far I've just gotten Mark's and Tom's pages updated. August 10: Well, I haven't heard from anybody in months. I guess we'll just go into hibernation mode until something interesting or wonderful happens. Enjoy the prime of your life, fellow classmates! :-) September 15: Inky Cooke updated her webpage with some current photos of some of her '74 classmates. Click here for a look. There are also a couple of interesting articles about the Morris area. Thanks, Inky! October 13: It's been brought to my attention that former MCS Social Studies teacher Mr. Henry "Hank" Stafford has checked out the page and already contacted some of you by e-mail. Cliff tells me he would love to hear from you folks. His e-mail address is hankfla@hotmail.com. This Internet business is great fun, isn't it? I also heard from Tom Shampnois and Diane Campfield this past week. They're both doing well. Diane is busy with professorin' duties at Indiana University, and Tom and wife Gail are occupied with the activities associated with those purdy Vermont autumn colors. November 24: Melody (Cole) Jones signed the guestbook. It was great to hear from her. I also got a nice note from Barb Platt a few weeks ago. She is doing well. Have a very happy Thanksgiving 2002, everyone! Best wishes to everybody for a great 2004! I can't believe how the time flies. Please send any updates you may have to the morrisny72 e-mail or contact Cliff or Roger directly. January 19, 2004: Diane Campfield reports very sad news. Warren Ryther passed away on January 12. Here is his obituary as published in the Oneonta Star. Here's a picture of Cliff and Roger with Mr. Ryther in summer '02. God bless you, Mr. Ryther! April 18, 2004: I just found some interesting entries in the Guestbook. Mark Gregory laments turning 50 but is otherwise quite pleased with his life. He's happy that I look older than him. :-) In fact, I (Roger) decided I wanted to live a few years more, so I lost 70 pounds over the past year and I feel great -- but, unfortunately, I still look old. What gives? Debby Goodier from MCS '76 also had an informative update. She says Spiel is in Florida and doing well. June 18, 2005: The fact that you are reading this means you've found the new URL for this page. My son Michael turned an old PC into a web server in my basement. Mike's a computer science and math major at Purdue University and is much smarter than me! Having my own server gives me lots more room for pictures and more control of the maintenance of the page. I hope you are all having a great year and are looking forward to celebrating our 35th reunion in '07. Please inform us of anything you'd feel comfortable letting us all know -- via the Guestbook or by e-mail to Roger or Cliff. |
