Olson Family Pictures

Old Photographs from the (Otto) Olson Family

Otto (b. 1916), William (b. 1917), and Thomas (b. 1919) were the sons born to William ("Vasilli" in Latvian) Peter and Anna (nee. Kupsch) Olson. William and Anna were born in Riga, Latvia. William changed his surname to Olson from "Osols" (more commonly spelled "Ozols"), which means "Oak" in Latvian.

They were acquainted before they came to the States, but they were married somewhere in New York City at sometime before 1915. That's the limit of my knowledge.

William and Anna's children were all born in
New York City. Otto's children are Robert (b. 1939), Richard (b. 1943), and Roger (b. 1954). Otto died on April 12, 1986 in Morris, NY, Thomas died in 1999 in Pennsylvania, and William died in 2003 in Fort Wayne, IN.
